Beginners For beginner string players, the Playstrings group is good fun. We do lots of warm-up games and easy ensemble music, with a touch of jazz as well. Even if you can only play open strings you will be able to join in. Many players begin by attending the Playstrings group only, but when you feel ready you can stay on for the Play Orchestras or sample some of our other activities. Perhaps you fancy trying your hand at keyboard, recorder, guitar or drums? We have beginner groups for all of these and much more. We also run Fiddling Frogs and String Beans for very little fiddlers! Junior Strings For junior string players (up to grade 2) there are the Junior Strings, Cello & Bass group, Musicianship classes and Junior Orchestra or Folk Group. If you would like something different, how about trying drums, keyboards or recorders? No previous knowledge necessary, just enthusiasm. Senior Strings More senior string players (about grade 3 upwards) can play in the Senior Strings and go to a musicianship class to cover the theory, aural and general knowledge that is needed to become a really good musician.
